Free Web Hosting

Is Free Web Hosting the Right Choice?

Free Web HostingThere are two types of web hosting, paid and free web hosting. Given these options a lot of people would choose the free web hosting so they don’t spend money. However, whatever one gets free of cost always comes with more cons than pros. It is the same in this case as well; the cons of free web hosting are definitely higher than the pros of this service.

The basic idea of building a web hosting site is to store huge amounts of data without discarding anything and the advantage of using the bandwidth that is allotted for the same purpose. Also including the option where one can make one’s own templates or choose from the readymade ones. By using this service, you can highlight your product or services on the internet, making it visible throughout the world. However, there are many cons of free web hosting that sometimes hinder these services. Here are a few obvious ones.

The first negative point is that since you will have a sub-domain and not a separate one, your search engine results would show towards the end of the list thus making it difficult to draw traffic to your site. This may be ok if you own a personal web hosting page, but if you are into doing business, this definitely will not suit the cause since there is also no option for sending emails. Contacting clients online becomes extremely difficult.

Another reason why we don’t recommend free web hosting is that the upload limit and the storage is less. And you will probably will not have access to your own cgi-bin. The uptime for free web hosting is not guaranteedto be high and therefore, when the server does not run, your website could disappear suddenly causing you to lose all search enginge rankings.

As soon as your webpage opens there are a lot of pop-ups and banners appearing thus obstructing your website from the view of the visitor, leaving you with little to no traffic at all to your web page. And the main point to seriously consider when settling for free web hosting is that you don’t get support 24/7.
If you will notice, most free web hosting sites would have the URL name of the service provider hosting the site. This does not allow you the freedom to control your own account or establish any online services that could be competitive for your business profits.

Free blogging sites for backlinks and to use in link wheels does make an exception. Sites like WordPress.com and Blogger.com are not only viable but really should be considered for SEO. But if you are interested in doing a profitable business through web hosting, free hosting is not the choice you should make. Paid web hosting comes with very affordable rates and have the required options and tools that is effective for your website. Unlike the free web hosting where you are a sub domain with the paid host, you become the direct hosting provider with users visiting your site 24/7 without any hassles of pop-ups and/or unwanted advertisements.
